With his sparkling blue hair and electrifying stage presence, Jack White shows why he is still a musical force to be reckoned with. Most notable for being one-half of the now-disbanded American rock duo, White Stripes, Jack White has continued composing and performing songs that carry the iconic feel and palpitations of his signature blues/garage rock style.

Last November 5, 2022 in the Samsung Hall in SM Aura, Jack begun his Pacific Rim Leg of his Supply Chain Issues Tour. Jack, especially, was excited to be in Manila, saying that he had wanted to come here since the early 2000s, but never got a chance. Now, and after recently marrying his Filipina-American girlfriend, Olivia Jean, he felt that he should start his newest tour with a visit to a country he has always wanted to see.

The Visceral Mood & Sound

Almost ironically, Jack performed in the Samsung Hall, which gives a feel of a large garage stage. In fact, while waiting for Jack to start, we heard several audience members saying how small this concert was, but how that was perfect – considering Jack’s personal style of music.

The concert started with a bright array of blue, much like Jack’s hair, and the dazzling musician wowing everyone with his fantastic guitar rifts and high-pitched singing. As the night wore on, you could tell that Jack was enjoying himself and playing to the crowd, who were all jumping and bobbing their heads (even, on more than one occasion, bumping us and causing us to lose our footing).

Jack’s Music

There is really a difference between listening to Jack’s music (as wonderful as they already are) and listening to him perform live. Each beat of the drum and slide of the guitar caused your heart to skip a beat and your ears to pop. And there was just something so magical about watching Jack. He moves – almost undulates – across the stage and his passion for music really exudes out of him, like a sweaty blue aura of sexiness and grunge.

Jack will be continuing his Pacific Rim Leg in the following countries:

Seoul, South Korea – November 8

Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam – November 10

Bangkok, Thailand – November 12

Singapore, Singapore – November 14

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – November 16

This is the first time Jack White has performed in the Pacific region. Jack White is an accomplished musician and is widely credited as one of the key artists in the garage rock revival of the 200s. He has won 12 Grammy Awards and three of his solo albums have reached number one on the Billboard charts.
