Global apparel retailer UNIQLO announces the release of the second 24 Hours with Roger film. Roger Federer, master tennis player, art aficionado, and all-around curious soul, takes you around New York for a day in the life of this storied city. It’s culture, design, food, sports and style—it’s a side of Roger you’ve never seen before, and his unique view of one of the world’s great cities.
A Match and a Slice
Roger’s day begins at Columbia Park, home to some pretty demanding outdoor chess. Roger’s opponent is the young prodigy Tani Adewumi. This match provides a different challenge than what Roger is used to—Tani is a formidable opponent. To recover, Roger hits everyone’s favorite, Scarr’s Pizza, where the man himself, Scarr Pimentel, shows Roger how the perfect pizza is made.
Roger’s Two Great Loves
As a lifelong art fan, a visit to The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) is a special treat for Roger. He spends time in MoMA’s famed gallery that features Monet’s beloved Water Lilies (1914-16). He then gets an exclusive behind the scenes look at the cutting edge work being done in the David Booth Conservation Center. Of course, Roger’s first love is tennis: he makes a surprise visit to the Cary Leeds Center, where he coaches some up and coming young players. As you can imagine, they are blown away to be on the court with Roger.
Commenting on the latest video, Roger Federer said: “When UNIQLO and I were deciding on the next location of 24 Hours with Roger, New York City was the obvious choice because of its vibrant energy and cultural diversity. It was a pleasure to have a chance to meet new friends, learn new skills and give a special thanks to some of my fans. I hope everyone enjoys this series and are as excited as I am for the future destinations still to come.”
