The numbers spoke for themselves: global social e-commerce sales in 2022 were projected to reach nearly $958 billion, with the expectation that social e-commerce would constitute 17% of all e-commerce transactions by 2025. DHGATE Group saw an opportunity to leverage the creator economy and took the lead.
For this, the company was lauded for its e-commerce efforts at the Asian Technology Excellence Awards, reflecting its dedication to revolutionising the industry.

The Group plans to provide extensive training to merchants, enabling them to tap into the potential of social commerce. Similarly, content creators will receive training to familiarise themselves with the digital tools offered by MyyShop, DHGATE’s social commerce platform.
One notable innovation is an AI function that allows merchants to optimise their product content such as headlines and descriptions with a single click, enhancing their online visibility. Additionally, DHGATE Group is set to create independent product pools for Nebula Plan products on major platforms like Google and Facebook, ensuring these products gain prominence.
In the United States, DHGATE Group has introduced a local partner distribution system. This involves collaboration with DH Ambassadors, individuals with strong networks and sales capabilities within specific industries or regions. These partnerships offer comprehensive services, from sourcing to logistics, empowering platform sellers to achieve their goals.

Looking ahead, DHGATE Group anticipates that online influencers will contribute 30% of all GMV on DHgate.com in 2023.
