Starbucks Philippines is dedicated to becoming a resource-positive company, aiming to give back more to the planet than it takes. The company has implemented multiple initiatives since its 25th anniversary in December 2023, demonstrating its commitment to creating positive change in communities. Starbucks’ local initiatives align with its promise to contribute positively to communities and reflect its commitment to sustainable practices through employees and customers. The company’s guiding principle remains to prioritize customer well-being and give more than what it takes from the planet.

SUSTAINABILITY IMPACT

Customers contribute to the cause by buying from the Ocean Friends merchandise collection, with a portion of each purchase supporting plastic credits through the Plastic Credit Exchange.
- In ongoing waste reduction efforts, Starbucks Philippines has transitioned to 100% paper straws in all stores and for delivery orders. Additionally, fillers in packages from their official Lazada store have been replaced since 2021, shifting from bubble wrap to carton boxes and carton filters.
