AirAsia Philippines is upgrading its system on July 10, 2024, in a move expected to improve the overall customer experience. Passengers with scheduled domestic and international flights on the evening of July 10 are advised to complete their check-in procedures at least two days before departure to avoid any inconvenience.
The system upgrade, which will take place from 7:00 PM on July 10 to 3:00 AM on July 11, will impact all online transactions, including bookings, check-in procedures, online kiosks, and bag drop at all AirAsia-operated airports. Passengers will need help to use the AirAsia MOVE app to manage bookings, check-in, make payments for existing bookings, or purchase add-ons during this period.
To ensure a smooth travel experience, AirAsia advises passengers to secure their boarding passes directly from the check-in counters during the system upgrade. Passengers requiring medical or special assistance are urged to arrive at the airport earlier than 7:00 PM to accommodate their needs efficiently.
AirAsia says the system upgrade, which includes updating its New Skies software, is designed to expedite all online transactions on mobile and at the airport. This includes booking flights, making payments, modifying flight schedules, checking in, and purchasing add-ons. The airline expects the upgrade to provide passengers with a faster and more convenient travel experience. In addition to quicker transactions, passengers can also expect to see more add-on features available on the AirAsia MOVE app after the upgrade is complete.
