Prime Video has announced that the Korean series No Gain No Love, a zero-sum rom-com about love gains and losses, will premiere on the service in the Philippines and over 240 countries and territories on August 26. Starring Shin Mina, Kim Young-dae, Lee Sang-yi, and Han Ji-hyeon, the modern romance revolves around not wanting to lose out on love, money, and career. Shin Mina returns after two years with a contemporary and relatable heroine, introducing fans to her new bold side. The series will be available on Prime Video in over 240 countries and territories on Mondays and Tuesdays, starting August 26.
When it comes to family, love, or work, Son Hae-yeong, played by Shin Mina, has encountered loss after loss. To change her luck, Hae-Yeong seeks a fake wedding with her neighborhood convenience store employee, Kim Ji-uk, played by Kim Young Dae (The Forbidden Marriage, Moon in the Day), to avoid missing out on a promotion. Kim Ji-uk is known for being a model neighborhood citizen and works night shifts at a convenience store. A local hero who can not ignore others in need, he agrees to Hae-yeong’s ridiculous proposal to be her fake groom for her phony wedding. Furthermore, the series features second lead actor Lee Sang-yi as third-generation chaebol Bok Gyu-hyun, who is the CEO of the company where Hae-yeong works, and Han Ji-hyeon (Cheer Up, The Penthouse) who plays Nam Ja-yeon, a famous R-rated web novel writer and Hae-yeong’s family-like friend and roommate.
Director Kim Jung-sik (Strong Woman Kang Nam-soon; Work Later, Drink Now) will be helming No Gain No Love, and the series is written by Kim Hye-young (Her Private Life). Will these characters be able to gain love and not lose out on anything? Tune in for a fun, modern romance when No Gain No Love launches on Prime Video on August 26.
