October 2024 marks the launch of Studio Artesan’s newest exclusive collection. Introduced in
2021 as a love letter by Rustan’s to all things locally-produced, handcrafted, and ethically-made,
the initiative continues to promote local craftsmanship by showcasing emerging Filipino
designers, whose fine works influence and define today’s Filipina look.
Despite fashion’s ever-evolving nature, the stylish Filipina is grounded by her love for local
craftsmanship, sustainability, modernity, and uniqueness; as well as her knack for artisanal
products. While she can be experimental with her wardrobe, the essence of her look is distinct
and consistent—no doubt, an extension of her empowered identity.
It is with this muse in mind that Rustan’s dedicates a space for ten contemporary Filipino
designers to showcase their collections through Studio Artesan. Located at the Gallerie Area on
the second floor of Rustan’s Makati, shoppers can browse through a diverse selection ranging
from apparel to accessories, all masterfully conceived by Puey Quiñones, Viña Romero,
Rosbert Villar, Randolf Clothing, Tagpi, NIñOFRANCO by Wilson Limon, Paolo Miguel, YOYA,
Jim Weaver, and Joyce Makitalo.

Tagpi blends old and new, creating distinctive pieces that celebrate Philippine culture.
Collaborating with artisans from across the country, the brand’s intricate embroidered designs

NIñOFRANCO celebrates the rich cultural heritage of Mindanao through contemporary fashion,
seamlessly blending traditional elements with modern design. Under the creative direction of
Wilson Limon, the brand draws inspiration from diverse ethno-linguistic groups, including the
Bagobo, Tagbanwa, T’Boli, Biaan, and Tagakaulo.
Paolo Miguel exemplifies slow fashion, focusing on ethically produced garments that celebrate
