The Gateway Art Fair, organized by Gateway Gallery under the J. Amado Araneta Foundation, returns for its third and largest edition from September 26 to 29 at the Quantum Skyview of the New Gateway Mall 2, Araneta City. The event features over 1,000 artworks and over 30 exhibitors, showcasing the beauty and diversity of Filipino creativity. The theme is “Live Your Art,” inviting collectors and enthusiasts to appreciate the diversity of Filipino art. Solo artists include Pinky Peralta, Gerardo Jimenez, Ryan Cayabyab, Joana Jamer, Joseph To, Maria Fatima, Willie Jamie Samson, Edison Par, Christine Sioco, and Yannie Rumbaoa. Group shows feature works by Aileen Yu, Tiffany Wong, Miguel Wong, and Aidon x Sandra x Kat x Jao.

Art schools will play a prominent role, represented by studio teachers, with contributions from Atelier de Legaspi and the University of Santo Tomas (UST) College of Fine Arts and Design. Renowned art galleries, such as Good Days Gallery, Daloy Likha Art Gallery, and La Herencia Davao Arts Space, are also set to participate. The Quezon City Performing Arts Development Foundation Inc. will also be present with two exhibits. 

A veritable list of sponsors and partners supports the event. Sponsors include Petron, Art Bar, Cibo, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, Dairy Queen, Novotel Manila Araneta City, and Ibis Styles Manila Araneta City. Media partners are the Daily Tribune, Manila Bulletin, Philippine Daily Inquirer, and Philippine Star. Gateway Gallery, the event’s lead organizer, is working with the support of the J. Amado Araneta Foundation, Araneta City, and Gateway Mall to ensure the event’s success.

A series of side events will also occur during the Gateway Art Fair. Held at the Bardot Room of Ibis Styles Manila Araneta City, these free artist talks and workshops run from September 27 to 28, from 1:30 to 5:00 PM. Highlights include Yannie Rumbaoa’s “The Basics of Coin Design” and Pinky Peralta’s “Art Making Based on Nature or Found Objects” on September 27, followed by Edison Par’s “Splashes of Gold” and Julius Legaspi’s “Legaspi’s Secret Sauce of Colors” on September 28.
