The opening theme tune to the anime series ‘The Vexations of a Shut-In Vampire Princess’, which premiered on October 7th, 2023, was released on October 11th, 2023. This is the second single from fripSide since they became a dual lead vocal unit.
So what is this anime all about? Terakomari Gandesblood, a vampire from the Gandesblood family, is a recluse living as a vampire due to her triple handicaps: unable to drink blood, use magic, exercise, or grow tall. Her father, a doting parent, offers her the position of “Shichikouten-General,” a challenging position that requires them to wage war against other countries and win every three months. Her subordinates are all former criminals, ready to take her place. Komari is not allowed to quit, and if her true abilities are revealed, she will fall into destruction. Despite her fears, Komari uses bluff and cuteness as weapons to carry out her mission. She plans to kill all generals of the other five nations by force of arms and announce the Mulnite’s prestige to the entire world. This history-making advance by the strongest vampire princess is set to begin on HIDIVE from October 7th, 2023.

On November 8th, 2023, fripSide will release their second original album since they entered Phase 3, ‘infinite Resonance 2’ and they will also perform live in solo headlining concerts in Osaka and Tokyo. Moreover, on January 8th, 2024, they also plan to hold the ‘fripSide 20th Anniversary Festival 2023 -All Phases Assembled’ concert, featuring all current and former vocalists together to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the group.
