Fresh off a triumphant showing at Spikes Asia, Adfest, and Clio, MullenLowe TREYNA continues its reign at award shows, adding another impressive haul to its 2024 collection at the recently concluded Kidlat Awards.
The agency’s biggest win of the night was the “Right to Care” by the Quezon City Gender and Development Council. This groundbreaking initiative, empowering LGBTQ+ couples to make medical decisions for their partners, resonated deeply with the judges, securing the Grand Kidlat for Experience Innovation and the Grand Sinag for Good. Right to Care’s impact didn’t stop there, as it garnered five Gold and one Silver awards, ultimately leading to MullenLowe TREYNA being named Advertiser of the Year for the Quezon City Local Government Unit.
Further showcasing their creative prowess, MullenLowe TREYNA also secured a Bronze in Creative Strategy for FWD Life Insurance’s “The Gamer Insurance” campaign. Closeup’s “Ride Closer” campaign, a playful effort that transformed Manila’s notorious traffic jams into blind date opportunities, brought home a Bronze in Guerilla Marketing. With these wins, MullenLowe TREYNA’s total for the Kidlat Awards reached an impressive eleven.
“It always feels good to come home and win in the Philippines, and I’m proud of the team that made this historic night happen,” says Abi Aquino, Chief Creative Officer of Mullenlowe TREYNA. “But more than anything, I’m proud that we’re able to demonstrate how creativity can be a tool not just for marketing but also for social good.”
The Kidlat Awards victory marks another milestone in MullenLowe TREYNA’s award-winning year, locally and internationally. This string of accolades reflects the agency’s commitment to impactful work, exemplified by campaigns like Right to Care, Gamer Insurance (promoting financial literacy in online gaming), and Ride Closer. These initiatives demonstrate the power of creativity to sell products and create positive social impact.
