TINBO, a digital service for overseas Filipinos, has been awarded the Most Innovative Health App for OFWs by Gawad Galing Global Award of Excellence in Nursing. Powered by PLDT Global Corporation, TINBO promotes health and wellness, providing quality healthcare services to families of overseas Filipinos.

“This recognition is proof of TINBO’s commitment to empower Filipinos around the world to be the ‘Bossing of Alaga’ when it comes to providing for their family’s healthcare needs,” said Albert V. Villa-Real, President and CEO at PLDT Global.

Organized by Toprank Review Academy, Gawad Galing is a global award of excellence given to professionals who have demonstrated excellence in healthcare. Gawad Galing also recognizes non-healthcare professionals and groups that made a mark in advancing the Philippine healthcare sector.

In 2022, TINBO partnered with mWell, the Philippines’ healthcare mega app, to deliver affordable telemedicine subscription plans with free accident insurance tailored for families of OFWs. At present, OFWs can access mWell health passes that they can purchase and send to their families as vouchers for 24/7 online consultation with thousands of Filipino-speaking doctors via the mWell app.

“The TINBO platform and PLDT Global have enabled us to bring healthcare closer to our fellow Filipinos abroad. As the only healthcare app available globally, mWell allows our kababayans to conveniently consult online with Pinoy doctors who speak their language and can provide the medical advice that they need right away. Filipino migrant workers can also share the gift of health to their families back home through affordable health passes which they may send as a gift. With the mWell app’s wellness features, our migrant workers can take control of their health empowering them to become healthier and more productive,” said mWell CEO and President and MPIC Chief Finance, Risk, and Sustainability Officer Chaye Cabal-Revilla.

TINBO has also officially launched Gamot Padala on the platform, together with Beam&Go as fulfillment partner, allowing OFWs to order select prescription drugs and vitamins and have them delivered straight to their family’s home or to their preferred pick-up locations across the Philippines.

Aside from medicines and vitamins, TINBO has also enabled Filipinos overseas to send school supplies via the Eskwela Padala option or treat their loved ones to meals via Food Padala from select partners and locations nationwide.

“We understand the plight of our OFWs and we hope that by bringing the digital services that we offer under TINBO closer to them, we can help them take better care of their families back home,” Villa-Real added.

TINBO is another innovation that contributes to the overall PLDT Group commitment to create digital solutions and collaborate with partners, to enhance customer experience wherever they are in the world.
