Rustan’s, the premier department store in the country, hosted a radiant afternoon of networking through beauty, skincare, and wardrobe styling for the women of NOWCD (Nextgen Organization of Women Corporate Directors) at the Beauty Courtyard of Rustan’s Makati. The NOWCD is an organization of women directors in the boards of highly esteemed and reputable publicly listed companies. At the pinnacle of their career achievements, these women leaders took time off from their busy schedules to celebrate and spotlight holistic success. Prioritizing self-care, which includes maintaining one’s mental, psychological, and physical well-being underscores the truth that professional accomplishments are enhanced when supported by a sense of well- being.
Issa Litton, the event’s host, engaged the participants in a discussion on self-care, mental health, and a healthy lifestyle. This was followed by a skincare and make-up demonstration by Tyrone Madriaga, Estee Lauder Philippine’s National make-up artist, who gave the participants tips and techniques on skin care, day and night make-up looks, and choosing the right fragrance for any occasion.
The high point of the afternoon was a styling session on creating effortless and refined work-to-evening dressing for the modern Filipina by Lady Rustan’s designer, Pia Hebron. Showcasing Rustan’s exclusive pieces from Adolfo Dominguez, Lady Rustan, Pedro del Hierro, among others, she shared practical and time saving ways to style an outfit to create a confident, polished, and professional look that could transform from a corporate look to a night-at-the-town look.
It was a welcome reprieve from the fast-paced lifestyles of the women who occupy the B-suite to prioritize health and well-being for maximal work and life fulfillment. Refreshments by T2 and Arc gin complemented the fun, learning sessions.
