Happening on March 7, Thursday, 4:00PM, at Rustan’s Shangri-La, Rustan’s The Beauty Source invites women everywhere to set this day for themselves and enjoy a refreshing afternoon filled with fun and exciting activities, delicious food, great company, and of course, an abundance of luxury beauty brands and products. Rustan’s The Beauty Source houses global luxury beauty brands such as CHANEL, La Prairie, Sisley, Clarins, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Tom Ford, MAC, Estee Lauder, L’Occitane, Diptyque, Acca Kappa, Phyto, Deborah Lippmann, Shiseido, Saturday Skin, Jo Malone London, NARS, Laura Mercier, Maison Francis Kurkdjian, and many more. New brands are added to this prestigious roster such as Malin+Goetz, L:a Bruket, Grown Alchemist, to name a few.
More than a beauty event, Rustan’s GRLPWR is a gathering and celebration of women, as well as a platform to bring important topics to light in the realm of women empowerment. Now on its 5th year, the Rustan’s GRLPWR event puts the spotlight on beauty and the arts recognizing women in art, their achievements and contributions as Filipina artists who continue to pave the way for gender equality and artistic freedom.
What to expect at Rustan’s GRLPWR 2024
On March 7, Rustan’s Shangri-la’s Beauty floor will be transformed into a visual and experiential sanctuary, stunning sceneries, and vibrant art. Aiming to immerse guests into this unique tropical state-of-mind, the space will be meticulously designed to create an environment that encourages adventure and relaxation.
Just like the previous GRLPWR events, this year will be packed with special activities from the beauty brands plotted across the floor. From live art to fun games, there are lots to see and lots to try—all of which will be listed on the GRLPWR Hub, accessible online by scanning a QR code. This year’s event furthers its commitment to sustainability by switching from printed activity maps to a digital QR code, thereby reducing paper waste and embracing eco-friendly practices. What’s more, the GRLPWR Hub includes a list of enticing beauty promos and offers that customers can enjoy for one day only!
Setting apart this year’s Rustan’s GRLPWR event are the dynamic collaborations with three Filipina artists, each bringing a unique touch to the anticipated gathering. Firstly, there is Clara Benin, the country’s indie darling known for her enchanting melodies, who serenades the guests with her performance. Secondly, there’s Zarah Juan, an esteemed accessory designer and advocate for sustainability, who unveils the exquisite Mobula Bag, inspired by the manta ray, crafted exclusively for Rustan’s The Beauty Source. And finally, there’s Elle Battung, a versatile freelance illustrator and maker, who graces the occasion with a colorful mural.
All of these unfold as the ever-charming Janeena Chan Say hosts the anticipated event.
