Federal Express Corporation, a major global transportation company, has launched export permit services at select 2GO outlets in the Philippines, aiming to streamline the export process for SMEs and e-commerce retailers by providing streamlined access to essential permits for international shipping.
The new service covers a wide range of goods, including:
- Fish and Fishery Products: Permits from the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) for live, fresh, dried, frozen, and chilled items.
- Magnetic Media Storage Devices: Optical Media Board (OMB) certifications for items like USB drives and hard disks.
- Consumer Products: Permits from the Food and Drug Authority (FDA) for medical drugs, food supplements, medical devices, soaps, creams, and toothpaste.
- Repair and Return Goods: Identification certificates for items shipped for repair and return.
- Certificates of Origin: Documentation available upon request to facilitate export compliance for shippers or consignees.
This enhanced service addresses a critical need among SMEs and e-tailers — bridging gaps in regulatory expertise and helping them comply with export requirements. This initiative empowers businesses to confidently navigate international trade, enabling them to focus on growth while delivering products to global customers more efficiently.
