Knorr Professional has partnered with Ninong Ry, a popular social media personality and food content creator, to promote its campaign “Sarap That’s Truly Yours”. The campaign aims to give dishes an authentic taste that diners are looking for while allowing chefs to create unique creations. The campaign was launched in Makati, Philippines, and featured a cooking demo-slash-YouTube-vlog-come-to-life. Unilever Food Solutions Brand Manager Nicki Gutierrez emphasizes the importance of chefs curating dishes to meet diner expectations and introduce new tastes. The campaign aims to ensure that chefs can showcase their uniqueness while maintaining the deliciousness of their dishes. The concept of “Sarap That’s Truly Yours” allows chefs to create their signature dishes and keep diners returning.
Similarly for food operators and other key decision-makers, it is important to have what you need in your kitchens to ensure that dishes are prepared well, have an authentic taste, and that helps your kitchen operations be more efficient. This is exactly what Knorr Professional products do to help food businesses, whether you’re an owner or the chef yourself, and what Ninong Ry is able to communicate really well.”
Ninong Ry, or Ryan Reyes, rose to fame with his no-nonsense but creative approach to cooking, which he seasons with his natural Pinoy sense of humor. With a Culinary degree from De La Salle University-College of St. Benilde, he was trained on how to make dishes that cater each and every palate of a diner that signs up for one of his meals. Today, thanks to a kare-kare recipe and a funny commentary, millions stay tuned to the next thing he’s cooking up in his anticipated YouTube vlogs, knowing that they’re in for a mouthwatering time and new recipes to recreate.
Guests were treated to seeing him work (and play) in real life through his interactive cooking demo, wherein he skillfully showed how Knorr Professional ingredients, such as Knorr Liquid Seasoning and Knorr Chicken Powder work to elevate dishes and add a modern twist to classic favorites, like sisig and fried chicken. Having always used Knorr ingredients in his recipes, Ninong Ry knew exactly what to bring to the table.
“It feels amazing to represent a brand I’ve always believed in,” shares Ninong Ry. “All you have to do is watch my videos from the past to know that Knorr has always been part of my craft as a chef. Iba ‘yung lasa na nailalabas niya sa mga dishes that I prepare, and as someone na mahilig mag-add ng sarili kong twist sa mga traditional recipes, it helps that Knorr is made for versatile prep and authentic taste. I’m hoping food operators like me see just how big of a difference Knorr makes sa pag-ensure ng dining satisfaction ng mga customers natin.”
The event flowed into a big salo-salo featuring the dishes Ninong Ry prepared, celebrating a deeply rooted Filipino practice that hinges on good vibes and good food – so good, attendees felt like the dining experience was made just for them.
“Our event is the vision we share with food operators and chefs – a good time made possible with good food and with Ninong Ry’s expertise and humor,” added UFS Brand Manager Nicki Gutierrez. “We are proud to have him as the face of Knorr Professional, who showed us that whether it’s a salo-salo or a meal enjoyed alone, the food industry can be future-proofed by keeping diners happy and satisfied, which is achieved with Knorr in the kitchen.”
