U.P. Town Center (UPTC) in Q.C. is aiming to provide a safe and welcoming environment for its community members to reflect and strive for self-care. The mall aims to inspire care for others through simple acts that make a difference. The mall’s Rekindle campaign, launched in 2022, goes beyond retail by connecting with patrons on a deeper level. This initiative follows UPTC’s Homecoming campaign in 2022, which welcomed shoppers back from the pandemic. UPTC’s Rekindle encourages self-reflection and connection, encouraging patrons to share meaningful experiences with the community. The mall’s specialized experiences aim to rekindle the vibrant spirit of Townies, fostering a sense of community and healing.
A closer look into U.P. Town Center’s Rekindle
Rediscovery begins with a change of environment. Amidst the hustle and bustle, that one sanctuary people call home, is the place for growth. Ayala Malls U.P. Town Center stands as a second home for many—a haven where connections and community thrive. Further strengthening this special connection with patrons, U.P. Town Center is hosting various initiatives, such as motivational installations, social media engagements, and organizing specialized events highlighting different passions, hobbies, and advocacies all throughout the year.
UPTC’s mall offers a space for reflection on self-love and community through thought-provoking questions and affirmations. The outdoor walkway asks, “How Will You Love Yourself Today?” and an interactive hopscotch floor-art declares, “Today I deserve love, kindness, joy, hope, compassion, respect, peace, self-care.” The floor also features a subtle reminder that everyone’s growth has its own rhythm. The mall encourages discovering the profound within the ordinary.
“No Strangers in Town” is a movement that intertwines physical and virtual spaces by engaging patrons in heartwarming reflections inspired by the mall’s installations, followed by a social media challenge. The campaign extends beyond self-reflection, contributing to a donation drive for partner beneficiaries: UP Red Cross Youth, UP Babaylan, and Hound Haven.
Running until November 17, patrons are invited to answer any of U.P. Town Center’s Rekindle installations and share their thoughts through Instagram Story videos; this is followed by a nomination of their chosen partner organization and friends whom they would like to invite to join the challenge and be part of the movement. The donation allocation to partner organizations will be determined by the number of nominations received, with results announced on November 18, during the Rekindle Culminating Event.
Brace yourself for the culmination event that ties everything together! The apex of the Rekindle campaign, this event serves as a platform for the partner organizations—namely, UP Red Cross Youth, UP Babaylan, and Hound Haven—to remind others about their purpose and encourage likeminded individuals to join their mission. Shortly after their talks, the program will announce the allocated donations to be received by the organizations. Complementing this, guests can further their involvement by connecting with the organizations at their respective booths in the Activity Area.
Moreover, the event will unveil an exhibit that showcases the best insights and answers expressed through art and space within UPTC, such as the installations. Plus, there will be a series of raffles throughout the festivities, with patrons having the chance to take home an Instax Mini.
As the canvas of experiences at U.P. Town Center unfolds, the Rekindle campaign stands as a testament to the mall’s commitment to fostering an environment of reflection, growth, connection, and community care. Join the Rekindle culmination event on Saturday, November 18, at the UPTC Activity Center to witness the movement and rediscover yourself in a space you can truly call home.
