“Metro Home” hosts Anton Barretto and Jessica Kienle Maxwell will tour viewers around the elegant two-story European house, the Laperal Mansion, in a special episode airing on June 9 at 8:30 pm on Metro Channel, in celebration of Independence Day. The house once ranked as the most beautiful in its time, now serves as the Presidential Guest House.
The Laperal Mansion was formerly known as the Arlegui Guesthouse and was built a century ago. It was previously an office of the Department of Foreign Affairs and became the official residence of two former presidents of the country, Cory Aquino and Fidel V. Ramos.
It recently underwent a renovation to showcase world-class Filipino artistry, with each room becoming a love letter to past presidents of the country. The beautiful house boasts 14 bedrooms and five staterooms that relive different parts of the country’s history and pay tribute to leaders of yesteryears through its design.
Don’t miss the “Metro Home Special: Laperal Mansion” this Sunday (June 8) at 8:30 pm.
