QBE Insurance Group CEO Andrew Horton led a delegation to the Philippines to inaugurate a newly constructed feeding room at Zapatera Elementary School in Cebu. This marks the company’s second school adoption initiative in the country, following its support for R.P. Cruz Senior Elementary School in Manila and Bagong Lipunan Elementary School in Cebu.
The insurance giant has donated an additional PhP2.5 million to Zapatera Elementary School, which will be used to build an innovation room, purchase essential school supplies, and fund a daily feeding program for malnourished students. The school currently serves a population of 2,804 students and 86 teaching staff.
QBE’s commitment to education and community development is carried out in partnership with the Philippine Business for Social Progress. As a global insurance firm with global shared services centers based in Manila and Cebu, QBE demonstrates its dedication to giving back to the communities where it operates.
