Chinabank celebrated the “Sining Filipina: Her Earth, Her Future—Women at the Forefront of Sustainability” awarding ceremony at SM Aura on March 27. The Philippines’ first nationwide, all-women art competition, organized by the Zonta Club of Makati and Environs, encouraged women artists to express their creativity and use their art as a catalyst for social change.
Remarkable sustainability-themed works from 52 finalists from across the Philippines were chosen to showcase their original paintings in oil, acrylic, or mixed media. Ten women artists were recognized during the awarding ceremony, led by first place winner Jowee Anne Aguinaldo for her painting “Panatagpi-Tagpi” which depicts women working together to sew a colossal and colorful fabric.
Representing Chinabank at the event were Financial Markets Segment Head Ollie Palanca, Business Development & Support Division Head Gigi Liao, Cards Marketing Division Head Niña Reynoso, Marketing Communications Department Head Aileen Vallesteros, and Senior Marketing Consultant Nita Claravall.
Chinabank acknowledges the strengths and visions of these Filipina artists who continue to shape the future of Philippine art with their passion.
