Casa de Memoria, a leading auction house in Paranaque City, is set to hold its first auction of the year via Invaluable on May 18. The Primero Auction will feature curated art pieces from paintings to sculptures, furniture, and other decorative elements, catering to both new and seasoned collectors. The event promises to offer exquisite, timeless, and rare pieces that will leave art enthusiasts wanting more.
The Casa’s General Manager, Camille Lhuillier–Albani, chose the highlights for this Primero auction. Her decision-making process was guided by her keen eye for artistic balance and the desire to showcase a diverse range of pieces that would appeal to a broad audience.
The event promises a remarkable experience, as guests will not only get to admire the carefully curated art pieces but also get to immerse and enjoy themselves in the historical charm of Palacio de Memoria, a restored prewar mansion dating back to the 1930s. A combination of modern luxury and meaningful history while proudly showcasing our rich cultural heritage is what the place provides for goers and patrons.
The collection includes several items, including 18th-century Asian-style wooden shelves, a 17th-century Chinese low sideboard cabinet, a watercolor on a paper painting inspired by marketplaces in Andalusia, a porcelain figure of Fu Xing, and a hand-stamped Santa Anna vase. In the Chinese dynasties period, a low sideboard cabinet was used to store books, records, and documents. The painting is 68 x 77 cm and is priced at PHP 50,000.00. The porcelain figure of Fu Xing, one of the three stellar gods in Chinese mythology, is 33 x 20 x 71 cm and is often seen carrying a child. The Sant’ Anna vase, made in 1741, features Santa Anna and the Virgin Mary, hand-stamped and dated 1993. The collection is priced at PHP 20,000.00.
