Known for its multipurpose shapes and comfort in soft leather, Montblanc’s Soft Collection is bringing new practical styles and an exquisite color palette for Spring/Summer 2024. The expanded assortment includes colors from Montblanc’s archives, such as pewter, light green, and coral, which trace back to the company’s early writing instruments, such as the 1920s Meisterstück fountain pen. The heritage color honors the company’s 100-year anniversary of the Meisterstück writing instrument and its dedication to writing. New leather styles will also be introduced in black.
“The essence of the Soft Collection lies in comfort, lightness, and timeless style. We have meticulously crafted soft, supple leather in original hues and introduced shapes that go beyond practicality to embody sensuality, playfulness, and elegance. As a tribute to our storied heritage, we’ve also introduced a coral shade which features on selected designs to pay homage to our iconic Meisterstück writing instrument and honor Montblanc’s legacy of writing culture,” says Marco Tomasetta, Montblanc Artistic Director.
In the Soft Collection, functional elements such as compartments and organization solutions are placed on the outside of each piece rather than remaining hidden on the inside, becoming part of the design. The detailing throughout the collection borrows inspiration from Montblanc’s writing culture heritage, with features linking back to the Meisterstück fountain pen: the nib is referenced in the nib-shaped zip pullers and in the leather detailing of where straps meet the bag. A selection of small leather accessories also recall the shape of an envelope thanks to their overlapping leather sections.
The extended Soft Collection’s larger leather pieces allow for ample packing space regardless of the destination. New shapes in black include elegant everyday companions: a functional and stylish Tote in medium size, the versatile Double Bag featuring an additional compartment at the back, and a Sling Bag suitable for cross-body styling with a front zip detail.
Existing Soft Collection shapes are also re-introduced in the new pastel shade of pewter and the coral color. Designs in the pewter color include the versatile 24/7 Bag, befitting life on the move, the Montblanc 142 Bag with a removable strap for hands-free wearing, and the compact Mini Messenger Bag, a companion for daily adventures. The small leather assortment features Wallets of various sizes, a Card Holder (6cc), and a Passport Holder.
Meanwhile the coral shade adorns the Mini Bag with its external writing instrument holder, as well as an assortment of small leather goods such as a Nano Continental Wallet, Card Holder (6cc) and Card Holder Trio (4cc).
Supple, smooth and light, the Soft Collection moves with its wearer with ease and elegance throughout their journey.
