At 35 hectares, Parklinks will be the largest mixed-use development along the prime C5 corridor. It will be a sustainable, healthier way to live, work, and play. It is also said to be the greenest urban estate in Metro Manila by Ayala Land, Inc. (ALI) and Eton Properties Philippines, Inc. (EPPI), since 50% of the land is open spaces.
One of the estate’s most distinctive features is the Parklinks Bridge. Inspired by modern European bridges, Parklinks bridge simulates a cable-stayed bridge with a 40-meter high arch that diagonally spans the 110-meter long and 25-meter wide road deck structure. The bridge connects Quezon City and Pasig City over the Marikina River. Both companies envisioned not only a functional landmark but also one that would signify harmony as it bridges two major cities together. Pedestrians and bikers can also access the bridge freely through the designated lanes, thereby allowing everyone to enjoy safe and convenient commute within and around the urban hub.
With its generous open spaces, Parklinks redefines what it means to live, work, and play in an urban setting—one that promotes a healthier lifestyle. Robert Lao, Senior Vice President and Group Head of Ayala Land Estates, expressed the shared vision of ALI and EPPI, “Both parties believe it is important to find a balance between profitability and sustainably, and our shared belief led us to create an estate that will introduce a new way of urban living.” He continued, “Tonight we will inaugurate the Parklinks bridge, the most iconic feature of the estate that enhances connectivity in this part of the Metro.”
On behalf of Hon. Joy Belmonte, Mayor of Quezon City, Hon. Gian Sotto, Vice Mayor of Quezon City, shared, “This bridge will undoubtedly become a popular tourist destination in addition to acting as a connecting structure.”
Welcoming a new and iconic bridge
The inauguration of Parklinks Bridge proves the successful partnership between two of the Philippines’ most established developers: Ayala Land and Eton Properties.
Together with the structural designers Systra Philippines and Systra Korea, ALI and EPPI created an iconic design with 20 steel cables suspended from the arch. The cables are arranged asymmetrically, creating a dramatic and interesting backdrop that varies when viewed from different angles. Ultimately, the design and architecture of Parklinks Bridge represent the elegance of synergism.
Parklinks Bridge will create a new route that will help ease vehicular traffic in the northeast and east of Metro Manila. DPWH Undersecretary Roberto Bernardo and MMDA Chairman Atty. Romand Artes, together with local government representatives Pasig City Mayor Hon. Vico Sotto and Quezon City Vice. Mayor Gian Sotto, are gracing the inauguration event to express their unity and support towards the newest architectural landmark. The event highlights the ceremonial lighting of Parklinks Bridge, which has Philips Color Kineticks LED lights by Signify Philippines and installed by Lythaus Lighting Supply.
From the group that brought the Festival of Lights in Ayala Triangle Gardens, Parklinks Bridge will also have its very own lights and sound show this Christmas season. Pasigueños and Quezon City residents, as well as other visitors, are all welcome to gather within the estate and discover the newest Ayala Land development while enjoying the holiday festivity. The Parkinks Bridge of Lights runs hourly from 6pm to 9p.m. Fridays and Saturdays until January 7, 2023.
Parklinks Estate: ALI and EPPI’s greenest urban development
Parklinks estate is thoughtfully landscaped to foster an environment that will allow future residents, office workers, and locators a wealth of benefits including better general health, a more active lifestyle, and cleaner air. Its park system, anchored by a 3-hectare central park for estate events, includes an esplanade, river park terraces and riparian gardens, that encourage the community to engage with the river as it brings better view and access plus running and bike trails.
Hon. Vico Sotto, Mayor of Pasig, revealed, “When we look at this property of Parklinks, what we see is actually the last big open space in our city.” He continued “It was great news for us that we will be maintaining the open spaces, we will be developing the river sides, and we will be maintaining the green spaces, if not improving on them.”
Kyle Tan, Executive Director of Eton Properties Philippines, furthered, “We wanted people to be able to have the best of both worlds in the sense that we wanted people to have the convince of living in a highly urban location without feeling the congestion or the hustle and bustle that an urbanized location generally brings.”
The development will also introduce a new standard for waterfront living with ALI’s flagship residential brands—Ayala Land Premier and Alveo. Ayala Land Premier has previously launched Parklinks North and South Towers, while Alveo has launched The Lattice Tower 1.
Parklinks will be accessible via C5, Amang Rodriguez Avenue, and Ortigas Avenue. Plans also include additional linkages to the estate’s neighboring communities like Circulo Verde and Metropoli.
