Gamescom Asia, Asia’s premier video games business and consumer event, will occur from 17-20 October at Suntec Singapore. The event will feature CAPCOM’s upcoming games and CAPCOM Pro Tour 2024 SUPER PREMIER SINGAPORE. Industry expert and former Sony Interactive Entertainment America CEO Shawn Layden will headline the business area conference. BAFTA-winning actor Andrew Wincott will join the entertainment area stage program. The event will showcase the region’s growing significance in the global games industry and include a business exhibition, industry conference, and public programs.
CAPCOM, a leading global developer and publisher of video games, is the first significant publisher to confirm its participation and kickstart the B2C entertainment area. Attendees can look forward to a variety of hands-on demos of upcoming games and the electrifying CAPCOM Pro Tour 2024 SUPER PREMIER SINGAPORE that is an official tournament for Street Fighter™ 6, promising an unforgettable experience for fans and industry professionals alike.
The GCL group returns to Gamescom Asia, too, featuring its games publishing unit 4Divinity with its 2024 titles. These include JDM: Japanese Drift Master, which lets players explore and drift around Japan’s countryside; open-world construction and survival game Terratech Worlds; action RPG with base building and tower defense mechanics First Dwarf and the immersive sim and horror FPS S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl. Additional details of globally renowned brands showcasing their games to consumers will be unveiled closer to the show.
Headlining the business conference of Gamescom Asia is Shawn Layden, who was pivotal in helping shape the iconic PlayStation brand. He will set the tone for the Gamescom Asia conference with a fireside chat on insights and predictions about the games industry.
Companies from across the globe are joining the exhibition, including from Australia, China, Europe, Hong Kong S.A.R., Indonesia, Japan, the Middle East, Philippines, South Korea, Taiwan, and the USA, as well as country pavilions from Singapore, Thailand, and Spain, solidifying Gamescom Asia as the premier hub for Asian gaming. This is further reinforced by recent sponsorship deals with long-time event supporters Xsolla and Games from Spain and newcomer Mistil Games.

The Gamescom Asia pitch competition returns this year, too, spotlighting top gaming industry talent competing for titles like Most Anticipated Game, Best Pitch, and Best Game Design. Visitors can test drive the latest video games from their favorite publishers and indie studios, watch live stage entertainment, and even meet some of their favorite gaming personalities. They can immerse themselves in featured areas like indies, esports, artists, cosplay, board games, retro games, and more.
Dozens of indie developers will be featured in the entertainment area’s expanded indie area – in partnership with Indie Wavemakers. Stamp rallies and attractive prizes will be available for the public and the most voted indie games will eventually be in the running for the Indie Wavemakers awards, celebrated on the entertainment area Main Stage on Sunday, 20 October.
Exciting highlights of the Main Stage program this year feature BAFTA-winning Andrew Wincott, best known as the voice of Raphael in the celebrated video game Baldur’s Gate 3, as well as a performance by J-pop singer-songwriter SHIHORI, most recently featured on Mobile Legends: Bang Bang!
