HPI’s renowned bikes stole the show in the annual event

The long wait was worth it as Honda Philippines, Inc. (HPI), the No.1 motorcycle manufacturer in the country presented a broad collection of its coveted rides at the recently concluded 2022 Makina Moto Show from July 29 to 31 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.

Considered one of the biggest gatherings in the Philippine motorcycle industry, the Makina Moto Show returned with a bang with the best deals and the most-anticipated product displays, especially from the top motorcycle brand, Honda Philippines Inc. Moreover, HPI rolled out a total of seven iconic Big Bikes, one Off-Road model, and two new commuter models at the annual event that marked its first live edition in two years.

The star of the show was undoubtedly HPI’s three Super Sports models. First on the list was super light and ultra-powerful, The New CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP is Honda’s fiercest creation that carries the true spirit of its MotoGP racing DNA. Powered by a monstrous 1,000cc liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, DOHC, inline four-cylinder, it’s truly powerful on the track.

This ride has been engineered with careful precision, evidenced by its improved Honda Selectable Torque Control, Selectable Engine Brake, ABS Brakes, upgraded Quick Shifter, Riding Mode Select System, Power Selector, and Öhlins Smart-EC Suspension. All this ensures superior handling and an excellent ride, where you are in complete and total control at all times.

Also making an appearance in the 2022 Makina Moto Show was The All-New CBR650R. With stunning sporty ability designed to trail the highways with impressive look and power, this super sports bike suits your hunger to go for more. The All-New CBR650R is all high-quality and stunning looks, powered by 649cc, liquid-cooled, 4-Stroke, 16-Valve, DOHC, Inline 4-Cylinder engine. Make the most out of its whirling max power output of 70.0 kW at 12,000rpm and maximum torque of 63.0 Nm at 9,500rpm that anyone nearby is sure to feel in their chests.

The third and last featured Super Sports model is The All-New CBR500R. This baddie packs sheer power in a glorified body. The middleweight sports bike-style motorcycle presents all the necessary goods, from the aerodynamic fairing and specially designed air ducts, all the way to the two-channel ABS and 41mm inverted fork. Its engine lets out a proud roar, announcing its commanding presence. This ride is a true head-turner, if onlookers even catch it zoom past them.

Included in the HPI line-up were two sports models. The Neo-Sports Café has evolved. Its latest form is CB1000R, completely restyled with an individual and aggressive character. This ride brings together heritage and innovation, as Honda reimagines the retro cafe racer-inspired bike. CB1000R boasts a powerful 998cc DOHC four-cylinder engine—the best in the class suspension system—and state-of-the-art electronics. All told, CB1000R (2021 Year Model) is refined.

One was The All-New CB500F, known for its versatility and value as a midsized bike with giant-sized features. This ride now sports a 41mm SFF-BP USD Fork (Showa), Dual 296mm x 4mm Disc with Nissin Radial-Mount, Four Piston Calipers, along with a 471cc, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, DOHC, parallel-twin engine, plus a lighter swingarm and excellent suspension control. It’s the perfect balance for your daily commute and weekend rides.

HPI also brought to the Makina Moto Show a pair of Adventure models. First was The New CRF1100L Africa Twin, presenting a 6-Speed Transmission. As they say, this is Honda’s embodiment of a thrilling all-terrain experience. Featuring the balance and stability of a scooter and the toughness of an off-road motorcycle, The New X-ADV serves as a one-of-a-kind crossover performer that captures the essence of modern adventure.

It presents a strong tubular-steel chassis with 745cc twin-cylinder engine and Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT). Meanwhile, one of its more special features is a 5-inch Thin Film Transistor (TFT) Full-LCD Digital Meter Panel with Honda Smartphone Voice Control system (HSVCS) that allows riders to access smartphone features through voice command. This means users can access navigation systems, compose texts or messages, listen to music, and check the weather via voice command while on the move. How’s that for comfort and convenience?

Aside from the iconic Big Bike models, HPI also showcased the Off-Road beast that is The All-New CRF250RX. It offers true motocross performance in a bike specially tailored to desert races, enduros, and demanding trails, featuring different gearbox ratios, an 18-inch rear wheel, special engine settings, handguards, a side stand, a larger fuel tank, and more.

Like the pure-motocross CRF250R, The All-New CRF250RX is equipped with a double-overhead-cam engine, fuel injection, an all-aluminum chassis, and state-of-the-art Showa suspension. Anyplace where power, precision, lightweight, and nimble handling are at a premium, this is the bike you’ll want to be riding.

The All-New Click160 features agile handling and excellent maneuverability, perfect for everyday commuting and leisure trips. The All-New CLICK160 comes in three color variants: Matte Pearl Crater White, Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic, and Matte Solar Red Metallic.

Featuring a sporty appeal, the All-New Wave RSX is a top-rated underbone for its fuel efficiency of 67.8 km/L (based on WMTC method) and reliable power for its 4-stroke, SOHC, air-cooled 109cc Honda Engine that proves dependable for all traveling needs. Stay on the go with PGM-Fi or Programmed Fuel Injection engine for a more efficient ride. Comes with three color variants: Phantom Dark Silver Metallic, Candy Caribbean Blue Sea, and Candy Rosy Red.
