Celebrated Chef Miko Dy will be featuring MANGANTAYON, a special exclusive dinner, together with a team of past and present Bistro Lokal chefs Francine M. Evangelista, Tristan Aldrin Fernandez, and Samantha Missymae Abalos. The culture culinary champion will present a carefully curated menu that pays homage to the culinary delights of the Ilocos region together with students from the Candon City Culinary Arts Academy.
Art talks and hands-on workshops held at the Auction Center will inspire locals and guests alike as renowned artist Manny Garibay, painter Otto Neri, and sculptor Joe Geraldo share their stories and experiences through Artful Conversations. Guest artists Art Sanchez and Ces Eugenio (from Angono, Rizal); Jerson and Janice Samson (from Antipolo, Rizal); Sam Penaso and Nicole Asares (Manila-based Bohol artists) are also set to impart their expertise and skills as they assist the masters and guide art enthusiasts through the Public Art Experience.
Festival attendees immerse in Manny Garibay’s interpretation of the “Cry of Candon.” The masterpiece mural will be showcased at the Candon City Arena Lobby, welcoming guests on the day of the music festival, alongside the exquisite works of art by guest artists and Candon’s homegrown talents.

The inaugural edition of the Candon Festival took place in 2019 with festival director Ryan Cayabyab at the helm. Taking over this year is highly sought-after TV and Live Events director Nico Faustino, who has worked on the shows of Filipino music icons such as Gary Valenciano, Regine Velasquez, Rivermaya, Sarah Geronimo, and most recently, the UAAP Opening Ceremonies for Season 87 featuring a historic Eraserheads reunion.
