Fashion brands just can’t seem to get enough of K-pop stars, as bankable for social media engagement as chart-topping songs. Loewe is the latest fashion house to sign on a music phenomenon from South Korea.
The luxury fashion brand taps K-pop star HyunA as its new global ambassador. The singer-songwriter and rapper (whose real name is Kim Hyun-Ah) is a powerhouse in the K-pop industry. She made her debut in 2007 and was part of popular girl groups Wonder Girls and 4Minute before going solo. Her fearless personal style and her music make her a perfect fit for the Spanish luxury brand, which, under the creative direction of Jonathan Anderson, has been espousing intellectual, boundary-pushing fashion for the modern, independent woman.
HyunA in expressing her gratitude for her appointment said: “Becoming a global brand ambassador for Loewe is truly an amazing honor for me. I am very much looking forward to our upcoming projects for this beautiful brand.” Anderson echoed the sentiment, saying: “I am thrilled to welcome HyunA to the Loewe family. Very much looking forward to this exciting partnership and working closely together.”
In addition to its lineup of popular purses such as the Puzzle and Flamenco, Loewe has introduced a new handbag to its Fall Winter 2021 collection dubbed Goya. The compact bag made its debut in a fashion shoot with HyunA, dons a minimalist look with a structured shape. Held together with a front flap and a metallic Anagram closure, the bag comes in an array of colorways ranging from blue and yellow, to avocado green and brown. In addition to the regular, small, and clutch iterations, the Goya is reimagined in a cardholder version where you can store your small daily essentials. Remove the detachable strap to wear the Goya as a hand pochette.
Get your hands on the Goya now available at Loewe Shangri-la Plaza East Wing. To know more, like @ssilifePH on Facebook and Instagram.
