Calling all Jujutsu Kaisen fans! Whether you follow the manga, the anime, or both, it’s time to rejoice! The anime series truly hit the ground floor running when the first season of its anime produced by Studio MAPPA arrived last year, and with the franchise created by Gege Akutami only rising in popularity, it’s no surprise to see that global apparel retailer Uniqlo is launching its first UT collection with Jujutsu Kaisen on June 7.
Jujutsu Kaisen is a Japanese manga series that features Jujutsu sorcerers and their magical powers. It’s written and illustrated by Akutami and serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump since 2018.
It’s one of the most popular manga series in Japan today, selling over 45 million copies so far. The anime series has been also aired on TV since October last year, and the new movie will be released in 2021 winter.
Much like UNIQLO’s previous anime collaborations, the aptly-titled Jujutsu Kaisen UT Collection features a wide range of unisex designs featuring many of the series’ popular characters and techniques.
From portraits of series protagonist Yuji Itadori, to Satoru Gojo’s Hollow Purple technique and even Megumi Fugushiro’s myriad of Shikigami curses, these shirts aren’t just nodding to pivotal skills and characters within the series—they also don’t compromise on Uniqlo’s trademark versatility. Wear them at home or when you’re out with the crew—they’ll look just as good anywhere you go.
You will notice that this batch of shirts only features snippets from the manga—that’s because a second capsule featuring visuals from the anime is already in the works. They’ll be arriving in stores sometime later this year.
Uniqlo has collaborated with multiple artists and brands for their UT collections. UT offers graphic, printed T-shirts for adults and kids with exclusive designs in collaborations between Uniqlo and partners. The products from UT collections are available for a limited time only, and some of the popular ones went sold out quickly after being on sale in the past such as Pokemon, Demon Slayers, and Billie Eilish collection.
Set your alarm clocks and get your wallets ready as the Jujutsu Kaisen UT Collection drops on June 7 at all Uniqlo stores. For more info, check out www.uniqlo.com/ph/en/spl/jujutsu-kaisen/manga
