Michael Kors is pleased to announce that the following guests wore a custom Michael Kors Collection to the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Benefit and opening of In America: An Anthology of Fashion in New York City.

Michael Kors wore a Michael Kors Collection black crepe suit and black merino wool turtleneck.

Addison Rae wore a custom Michael Kors Collection black tulle halter gown with metallic mirror hand embroidery. The gown took over 350 hours to hand-embroider, using approximately 11,000 mirrors of different shapes and sizes—the mirrors are attached with individually embroidered microbeads in seven different shades to help create the ombré effect. She carried a custom gunmetal python-embossed leather Gansevoort minaudière and wore black satin Huxley platform sandals from Michael Kors Collection.

Eiza González wore a custom Michael Kors Collection optic white scattered-crystal jersey halter gown with feather embroidery and a matching feather-embroidered jacket. The gown took 4,700 hours to hand-embroider, using approximately 28,800 crystals and 130 meters of dégradé ostrich feathers.

Sigourney Weaver wore a custom Michael Kors Collection chocolate scattered-sequin, double-faced crepe gown. The gown took over 1,200 hours to hand-embroider, using almost two million individually stitched paillette sequins. She carried a chocolate crocodile-embossed leather clutch and wore chocolate satin Hallie pumps, all custom Michael Kors Collection.

Ciara wore a custom Michael Kors Collection black tulle one-shoulder gown with black and-silver sequin hand-embroidery. Artisans took 1,100 hours to hand-embroider the gown, using approximately 350,000 round sequins and a special sewing technique to create the wavy visual effect. Ciara’s custom-made, sequin-embroidered Gansevoort minaudière was handcrafted using the same technique.

Sara Sampaio wore a custom Michael Kors Collection rose-gold crepe cutout halter gown with metallic sequin hand-embroidery. Requiring 1,370 hours to hand-embroider, the gown features seven different types of sequins and cut beads, individually stitched to create a scattered effect. She completed the look with a matching satin Gansevoort minaudière and suntan satin Estelle platform sandals, all custom Michael Kors Collection.

Lori Harvey wore a custom Michael Kors Collection black jersey gown with dramatic cutouts and flowing shoulder trains.

Anok Yai wore a custom Michael Kors Collection fuchsia scattered-sequin satin ballgown. The gown required almost 2,600 hours to hand-embroider more than 4 million recycled paillette sequins. She carried a matching satin Gansevoort minaudière with fuchsia Huxley satin platform sandals, both custom Michael Kors Collection.

Rianne Van Rompaey wore a custom Michael Kors Collection crimson double crepe sablé tuxedo jacket with a hand-embroidered sequin train and lapels, a crimson scattered-sequin jersey turtleneck bodysuit, and crimson double crepe sablé trousers. The look required 550 hours to hand-embroider, using approximately 81,000 individually stitched recycled paillette sequins. She wore crimson Martine satin pumps and a matching satin Gansevoort minaudière with hand-embroidered sequins, all custom Michael Kors Collection.
