Montblanc has launched its latest collection titled UltraBlack, serving as the second wave to its What Moves You Makes You campaign. Black is the absolute of all colors, a statement of infinite beauty and exceptional design in luxury. It has also been part of Montblanc’s DNA since the Maison’s inception in 1906, with ebonite as the main ingredient in the production of Montblanc’s original writing instruments, and one of only two colors in the company’s emblem, created in 1913. In its ongoing mission to inspire people to express their full potential by doing what truly moves them, Montblanc is introducing its first-ever complete obsidian cross-category collection united by an all-black design theme.

The capsule includes a leather constructed backpack, clutch, and mini folio imprinted with geometric graphics and lettering accents, as well as the Montblanc 1851 Geosphere Ultra Black Watch and the Montblanc Summit Lite Smartwatch. Two other stand-out products from the collection include the matte resin StarWalker UltraBlack writing instruments in addition to the wireless Montblanc MB 01 UltraBlack Over-Ear Headphones, featuring one of its signature monogram patterns accenting the ear cup.

Following the release of Montblanc’s What Moves You Makes You Campaign in 2020, the luxury label continues its mission to influence people in doing what truly moves them. The current campaign taps South Korean DJ Peggy Gou, actor Cillian Murphy, Chinese actress Xin Zhi Lei, and actor Chen Kun as ‘Mark Makers.’ As part of their partnership with Montblanc, these Mark Makers will appear sporting pieces from the new UltraBlack Collection. Created by award-winning agency Wieden+Kennedy Amsterdam, the campaign rolled out globally last August 24, conveying the message that Montblanc products are made to accompany you on your journey as you pursue what you love.
