Onitsuka Tiger has opened the door of its largest flagship store in the world located at one of London’s swankiest addresses—Regent Street. And for the first time, the entire lineup—from the contemporary and heritage collections to the Nippon Made series rich in craftsmanship, as well as the upscale The Onitsuka line—are being offered only at this store.
This retail space which spans about 9,300 square feet, resembles an art gallery consisting of two floors. The ground floor is a spacious and massive marble interior with all the current collections of the sneaker brand. A showroom and gallery space in the basement will be used to support local creators and global artists and provide a variety of experiences that connect the brand with London culture.
Another fixture that’s a must-see would be the pillar located at the left side entrance that passes thru the floor down to the basement. Two colored lights spiraling this pillar symbolize the brand’s philosophy of fusing heritage with innovation.
And lastly, in celebration of the store opening, special limited-edition models have been launched featuring graphics combining the brand’s iconic Tiger Pattern with a color scheme inspired by the London Underground map. These sneakers are the Ultimate 81 MP and the Rebilac Runner MP models, which were born from the high-spec MP series with various functions and a look that is stripped down to the bare essentials. A total of five products, including short and long-sleeve T-shirts and socks, can be purchased on the Onitsuka Tiger e-commerce site, in addition to this flagship store.
