Onitsuka Tiger continues the discovery of nature for its Autumn-Winter 2021 collection. The majestic nature of the towering Himalayas in winter and the 1970s trekking and hiking boom are the inspirations behind this collection in collaboration with Toyoki Adachi of nowartt.
Featuring a selection of classic tracksuits, down jackets, and backpacks, the AW 2021 collection highlights the textile graphic created through understanding and juxtaposing the nuances of generations—vintage x art and analog x digital.
The key items in the collection are the fleece line, which is excellent for keeping warm and preventing cold during winter mountaineering, and the nylon series, which offers a fusion of dazzling neon colors and intricate and unique embroidery stitches. The collection also offers creative styling that makes use of minimalist design items. Puffer coats, as well as striped jackets and dresses, create a lean and modish vibe.
The footwear styles offered in Onitsuka Tiger’s AW 2021 collection also combine archival elements with contemporary designs and technology. To match the mountaineering ideas that drive the collection, the label is releasing the HMR Peak Trainer, a boot that’s an updated version of a trekking shoe introduced in 1966. The Moage Co & Moage Mo shoe offers a more modern aesthetic on a classic design while the Big Logo Trainer Puffed includes the Onitsuka Tiger Stripes that extend to the outer sole.
