After the successful launch of its first physical restaurant, Mercato Centrale, the famous weekend night market in Bonifacio Global City, will be launching Tastemakers in collaboration with Make it Makati on March 11-12, 2023.
Mercato Centrale has been a trailblazer in the local food scene, collaborating with homegrown cooks to discover the next major food concept. Here in the Philippines, they were the first to introduce the “trend” of food parks, and haven’t looked back since.
The Tastemakers event will be serving and showing its unique lineup of food merchants along Paseo De Roxas St. by the Ayala Triangle Gardens, respectively, closing the street to traffic on March 11 to 12, 2023 from 4PM to 12AM free admission. A short drive of Ayala Avenue, and Makati Avenue is where to find the venue.
Looking back at all the years Mercato Centrale has set the standard for what “trendy” food really is, Tastemakers is a full circle moment for Mercato Centrale. A test kitchen if you will, they have partnered with one of the Philippines’ best chefs including: Chef JP Anglo, Chef Margarita, Erwan Huessaff, Chef Sau, Chef Chele, and Chef Robby Goco.
The Makati Street Meet will be held every month, Saturday to Sunday of every 1st Payday weekend. A few of their vendor partners to look out for, ranging from frozen cheesecakes, gourmet ulam, artisan coffee and sandwiches, and New York style bagels are: Crave it!, Mang Cesars Angus Belly, Booya Bagels, Luna’s Corner, Moloko Cookies, Destileria Limtuaco & Co, Inc., Deli by Chele, WKND Coffee, Wadough’s, Muy Mexicantina, and Karabella.
Mercato Centrale’s Midnight food fair was first launched in 2011 at the BGC Tent, featuring several local startups and food businesses in one place.
