The new Gen Z slang, “shapps,” has been used in TikTok videos, comments, and posts as a positive compliment. It was created as a shortened version of Pocky’s tagline “Share Happiness” to spread happiness in time for Pocky Day 11.11. Pocky drew inspiration from Gen Z’s creative vocabulary to counteract the daily drama and toxicity on the internet. The term “shapps” can be used to express happiness, share clips, or even suggest a fit picture with a friend.
