I am so excited. Tung Lok Seafood, an award-winning Singaporean-based seafood restaurant, launched its third branch in the Philippines at Greenhills Mall last October 25! To commemorate the occasion, San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora, Ms. Cathy Duenas, and Mr. Eric Teng presided over a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The event concluded with an intimate dinner at Tung Lok Seafood, where guests indulged in its signature dishes.
“This not only marks a significant achievement for the brand,” according to Tung Lok Seafood owner Mr. Eric Teng, “but also showcases our commitment to bringing the best of Singaporean cuisine to the Philippines.” With three branches now operating in the country, Tung Lok Seafood continues to delight local diners with the flavors of Singaporean cuisine.
Meant for seafood lovers (aka me)
I love Tung Lok. There is such a wide range of seafood dishes to appeal to almost anyone! Here’s my recommendation:
Start off with the Refreshing Cherry Tomatoes—plump cherry tomatoes soaked in a sweet and tart concoction. Bite into one of Singapore’s most popular snacks with Tung Lok Seafood’s Crispy Fish Skin with Salted Egg and have a savory sweet moment with the Pork Bakkwa with Salad, strips of sweet-salty dried meat perfectly paired with a fresh salad.
A medley of freshly made Dimsum makes an appearance with some of these classic hits: Pork Siu Mai, Steamed Shrimp Dumplings (Har Gao), Steamed Chicken Feet, Steamed Pork Spareribs, Hokkien Roll. The new Honeycomb Cake adds a delicate sweetness to the mix with its molasses-like flavor and unique honeycomb pattern.
No meal is complete without a warm and hearty soup. Perfect for the colder days ahead, savor the healthy flavors of the Collagen Fish Soup—a dish made of a special soup broth simmering with a steamed fish and brimming with vegetables.
Indulge in the ultimate seafood adventure with a plethora of seafood delights ranging from crabs, lobsters, mantis shrimp, prawns, and many more. Experience a harmony of flavors with the bright aroma of the Steamed Crab in Black Pepper Sauce, the savory, creamy, rich taste of Salted Egg Crab, and the subtle sweetness in the stir-fried Prawns in Crispy Oats.
Beyond seafood, the menu offers a variety of meat, poultry, and vegetable options. Whether you are craving for an aromatic and comforting Three Cup Chicken, or a healthy and flavorful Sauteed Chinese Spinach with Three Kinds of Eggs (specifically chicken egg, salted egg, and century egg), Tung Lok Seafood has something to satisfy every palate.
Pair your favorite dishes with a bowl of Glutinous Rice with Crab—glutinous rice, crab, and various elements wrapped and steamed in a lotus leaf, or slurp away with the chewy and spicy Laksa Noodles.
About Tung Lok Seafood
The phrase “Tung Lok” comes from a Cantonese saying which means “happy together”. Tung Lok started as a family-owned business in Singapore during the 1980s. Today, Tung Lok has expanded to over 30 stores across Singapore, China, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Philippines.
Mr. Eric Teng introduced Tung Lok Seafood to the Philippines in 2023 and brought international restaurant brands such as Mango Tree, Mango Tree Cafe, Sen-ryo, and Genki Sushi to the country, as well as creating homegrown concepts including Kureji, Rossini, and Wong Place.
