Seiko has partnered with STAR BAR, a renowned cocktail establishment, to release two limited edition watches, Star Bar Purple Sunset and Star Bar Pinky Twilight. These watches, designed by Hisashi Kishi, owner of STAR BAR and recipient of the “Contemporary Master Craftsman” award, embody the essence of Tokyo’s enchanting sunsets in design and craftsmanship. The watches feature mesmerizing dials with a gradation of colors and a subtle wavy pattern, reminiscent of clouds dancing across the evening sky.
STAR BAR Purple Sunset (SRPK75) men’s watch features a dial inspired by the Purple Sunset cocktail, an exclusive creation of STAR BAR. The dial’s gradation from navy to purple mirrors the sky at sunset, elegantly reflecting the fading light while retaining the warm reddish hues of the setting sun. The watch is powered by an automatic movement with manual winding (Caliber Number 4R35), offering a precision of +45 to -35 seconds per day and a power reserve of approximately 41 hours. Encased in stainless steel, it features a box-shaped Hardlex crystal. The calfskin band complements the timepiece, and it is water-resistant up to 5 bar.
STAR BAR Pinky Twilight (SRE014) women’s watch draws inspiration from another original STAR BAR cocktail of the same name. The delicate gradation from light pink to yellow on the dial elegantly mirrors the pale, glowing sky at sunset. This timepiece is equipped with an automatic movement with manual winding (Caliber Number 2R05), ensuring a precision of +45 to -35 seconds per day and a power reserve of approximately 40 hours. Encased in stainless steel, it also features a box-shaped Hardlex crystal. The calfskin band, along with a three-fold clasp with push button release, adds both style and functionality. With water resistance up to 5 bar, this limited edition watch is engraved with its serial number on the case back.
