Mahzooz, the philanthropy-driven weekly draw in the United Arab Emirates, has once again transformed the life of an overseas Filipino worker (OFW) in Dubai.
Jeffrey, a Pinoy living in the UAE for 14 years and working as a Styrofoam sculptor artist for theme parks in Dubai, recently won the Mahzooz raffle prize of AED 1M (PHP 15M) during the 133rd live weekly draw held on Saturday June 17, 2023 at 9pm.
Jeffrey’s win marks the 7th time a Pinoy has become a millionaire with Mahzooz, making him the 48th millionaire overall. Other Filipino top prize winners include Pateiro, Arlene, and Nelson, who won the previous top prize of AED 10M (PHP 150M), as well as Antonio, Roland, and Sherlon, who each won AED 1M (PHP 15M).
The current top prize of Mahzooz is AED 20M (PHP 300M), accessible through an online purchase of a Mahzooz entry for only AED 35 (PHP 530), where participants could enter the weekly live draws every Saturday, consisting of the Grand Draw, for a chance to win the top prize of PHP 300M (AED 20M) and the weekly Raffle Draw, which will grant PHP 15M (AED 1M) every week to a GUARANTEED millionaire-to-be, in addition to other prizes.
Mahzooz, which means lucky in Arabic, is the UAE’s leading weekly draw and has positively impacted lives worldwide through generous prizes and community outreach efforts, benefiting over 50,000 Filipinos who collectively won over AED 64M in prize money (over PHP 970M).
Jeffrey’s Win
Jeffrey’s lucky victory came without matching any of the five winning numbers as his ID was randomly selected in the Mahzooz weekly raffle draw, awarding him the life-changing prize.
Coinciding with the celebration of the Philippines’s Independence Day, Jeffrey, a 47-year-old father who works as a carver in Dubai, received a call from his friend who was watching the live draw on his phone. Overwhelmed with joy, Jeffrey exclaimed, “When I received the call from my friend, my heart started jumping. I couldn’t believe it and remembered all the past Filipino millionaires who have made it with Mahzooz. Now, I became one of them!”
Despite his newfound wealth, Jeffrey has no immediate plans to leave his profession as a carver, which has helped turn his life around, even nearing retirement age. His success showcases that hard work pays off.
