In a bid to strengthen Cebu as an alternative hub to Manila, AirAsia Philippines, the country’s safest low-cost airline successfully brought the festivities, fun, and excitement of Fly Fest to the Queen City of the South, this weekend.

The event, attended by representatives from the Cebu City and Lapu-Lapu City Tourism Office, and the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry, gave travelers a glimpse of AirAsia Philippines’ huge plan for the Cebu hub.
Attended by travel junkies from Cebu and neighboring provinces including Bohol and Dumaguete, the event outlined how Filipinos are on track to booking international destinations with 4x weekly flights to Taipei, 3x weekly flights to Kuala Lumpur and Seoul, 2x weekly flights to Shenzhen beginning next month, and daily flights to Tokyo starting July.
Other international destinations Filipinos should watch out for include Seoul, Taipei, Kaoshiung, Hong Kong, Macao, and Shanghai.
