closeup recently installed a big heart mural at Market! Market! from June 9 to 10. However, a closer look reveals that each “pixel” is a small portrait of an LGBTQIA+ couple displaying their love. The whole composition reveals itself to be a collection of unique and beautiful stories from the community. From couples kissing, holding hands, or simply being closer with each other, the installation exhibits a celebration of love through the portraits which would otherwise be played down or outright censored in popular media.
closeup is known to always celebrate love all year round; so it’s no surprise that their #FreeToLove Pride campaign honors different couples from the LGBTQIA+ community while encouraging more people to be more open to seeing all types of love.
A QR code on the installation also directs people to a link featuring the stories of couples who got closer with pride. Watch their stories here.
The installation features a more visible representation of love as it also offers a selfie opportunity for those passing by. Couples are encouraged to take a selfie together using the mirror and share it online in support of the LGBTQIA+ community and closeup’s campaign.
#FreeToLoveInAllWays
closeup also partnered with Colourette Cosmetics a local beauty brand that also believes that everyone is #FreeToLoveInAllWays. Both brands give people the confidence to get closer with their romantic interests and this is why closeup and Colourette Cosmetics launched a bundle promo available on Unilever’s official Shopee and Lazada.
Everyone deserves to be seen and loved for who they are. As an ally brand, closeup believes that everyone should be #FreeToLove and they promote how getting closer is easier especially when you have all day AMA-ZINC fresh breath, thanks to closeup’s Antibacterial Zinc that blasts away 99.9% of bacteria.
Visit closeup’s #FreeToLove heart installation at the Fort Strip, BGC on Jun 16-17 and Metro Manila Pride March on June 24th where you and your partner can also show support for the LGBTQIA+ community and their right to visibility.
