After the first successful launch of Lalique‘s homage to Mother Earth, the brand is pleased to present the Chapter II of Gaïa, a collection of vases, votives, crystal boxes, and figurines carrying the inspiration of Mother Nature to the skies.
The collection resonates like an invitation to respect, appreciate, and marvel at the many wonders provided by nature. With nature as the golden thread, Lalique revisits its history and revises its iconic motifs. The crystal manufacturer draws on its DNA to offer a new perspective and reinvent itself.
The pieces are opulent but discreet, distilling a thousand and one parts of Nature and cast in Lalique excellence. This new collection features the color of Mother Earth in crystal material, exhibiting the brand’s exceptional savoir-faire in each creation. Lalique, as the “Sculptor of Light”, crystallizes nature and lets us appreciate its beauty together.
• Merles & Raisins. The Lalique Studio reinterprets this emblematic creation, in new expressions through vases. Blackbirds with finely chiseled plumage indulge in an abundance of sweet grapes while the vines create an exceptional rhythm throughout a perfectly balanced composition.
• Mûres. An invitation to a dreamlike walk in the under bush, the Mûres (Blackberries) vase exhibits an abundance of berries jealously protected by intertwined brambles. The satin-finished crystal highlights the finely chiseled relief of this decorative masterpiece.
• Feuilles. The heart-shaped pepper leaves beautifully adorn the “Feuilles” vase and votive. The graphic composition combines lines in downstrokes and upstrokes while the contrast of satin and polished crystal creates stunning plays of light and transparency.
• Flora. The radiance of satin-finished crystal highlights the Flora Petite Nude, Goddess of nature and spring in Roman mythology. Captivating with her voluptuous curves and charming grace, she watches over foliage; allowing nature to awake each year. The cherry blossoms on her back evoke the universally admired and wondrous blossoming of the Japanese cherry tree. Symbolizing the ephemeral character of beauty and life, she invites one to marvel at the present moment.
• Zodiac. Lalique celebrates 2022, Year of the Tiger in Chinese astrology through the Sitting Tiger sculptures, in a small or a large size, issued in new colors and finishes. Difficult to resist the magnetism of this great feline. The Tiger is described as charismatic, energetic, and courageous.
The Lalique Gaïa 2 collection is available only in Rustan’s Makati and Rustan’s Shangri-La.
