From New York’s concrete jungle to the golden sunsets in SM Mall of Asia
After its first venture into the South, Shake Shack is pulling out the big buns as it opens its fifth Shack in SM Mall of Asia
• No Other Shack Comes Close. At least in size. Located in the largest mall in the country, Shack MOA has over 250 sqm of dining space making it the most spacious Shack so far. If that is not compelling enough, the neighboring scenes of the golden Manila Bay sunset just around the corner give more reasons for Shack fans to gather over delicious burgers, hotdogs, chicken, fries, and shakes.
• Shack’s Got HeART. Shake Shack and art go way back. What began as a hot dog cart in Madison Square Park in 2001 as part of a Public Art Fund project called I ❤️ Taxi, Shake Shack has grown globally with a presence in over 100 international locations, keeping art and local collaborations as key elements in bringing together communities. With its newest location in MOA, Shake Shack has partnered with Filipino artist, Lee Caces, to recreate a tropical paradise on its construction façade. Showcasing Manila Bay and its famed sunset exploding with life and color, the design highlights the synergy between the land and sea that MOA is set against. Reminiscent of the old Manila Bay and fireworks mirrored on the water, Lee creates a rhythmic flow of flora, featuring Katmon flower, a flowering tree that is endemic to the Philippines and can also be seen on the Philippine twenty-five centavo coin, amidst the pulsating buzz of the city. The design is punctuated by iridescent patterns and lighted LED Shake Shack icons with 3D die-cuts jutting out from the hoarding, forming a fun and cool background for selfie snaps or dance videos.
