Halsey, a Grammy® nominated artist, has released her new single, “Lucky,” produced by Michael Uzowuru. The song features an interpolation of Britney Spears’ “Lucky” in the chorus and the No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 Hit, “Angel of Mine.”
Alongside Halsey’s first single in over two years, she shared the video for the new track. Directed by Gia Coppola (Palo Alto, Mainstream) with cinematography by Alexis Zabe (The Florida Project), the video stars Halsey and features a cameo from actor Simon Rex.
Last month, Halsey shared that she had been diagnosed nearly two years prior with Lupus and a rare T-cell Lymphoproliferative Disorder and has been struggling with her health privately. After the announcement, Halsey issued a statement thanking her fans for their overwhelmingly positive support.
Halsey has amassed over 50 billion global streams, with over 75 million RIAA-certified adjusted singles and all 4 of her previous albums RIAA-certified. She is one of the only artists ever to have four songs hit 1 BILLION streams on Spotify. As well as have 2 RIAA-Certified-Diamond records.
