Rome, IT – A new art exhibit, called CRAZY, is now being shown at the Chiostro del Bramante. Curated by Danilo Eccher and inspired by and named after the book of the same name by Eugenio Borgna, the contemporary art exhibit invites visitors to reflect on the different facets of mental health.

“CRAZY – Madness in Contemporary Art” explores the theme of beauty in the unconventional. True to its name, it shows us how madness often comes with and begets amazing creativity. It shows – in a raw, visceral way – madness in all its iterations. In fact, the art exhibit is the first time the Chiostro has been used as a collaborative, artistic narrative, wherein the works of art can be found not only in the interiors, but along the grounds as well. From the moment people arrive to the minute they leave, stunning artworks surround the Cloister.

The creative initiative is made up of 21 well-known, international artists and 11 unique installations designed specifically for CRAZY. The project was specifically designed to create an impact as soon as one enters. From lifelike mannequins to bold, colorful staircases, people are immediately jarred by the sensation of color, sound, and smell. Museum docents describe the sprawling enigma as a “creative explosion spanning the entire space, inside and out”.

It is a peek inside the rabbit hole, a true Wonderland of creation.
