Following days of media engagements and immersions in the Manila Culture Experience, the Adidas Philippines JG4 Manila Tour came to a close on August 13 as Jalen Green traveled up north to Vigan, Ilocos Sur, where he hosted a basketball clinic for the children of Caoayan municipality.

Led by professional athlete and sports broadcaster, Diego Dario, the basketball clinic was held at the Community Court of the Caoayan Gymnasium where 20 kids aged 8-12 years old participated.

Aside from the opportunity to give back to his mother’s home province, the quick trip to Ilocos Sur also gave Jalen and his family a chance to reconnect with their roots. Jalen, who traveled with his mom and sister got to taste the famous Ilocos empanada and go on a Heritage Walk along Calle Crisologo while sporting a “salakot.” A trip to Vigan wouldn’t have been complete without the experience of riding a kalesa, which was Jalen’s mode of transportation as he took in the sights of Calle Crisologo.

It means so much to the brand and Jalen to cap off this jam-packed JG4 Manila Tour at the place where Jalen’s Filipino roots began. This trip was the perfect opportunity to inspire and give back to the kids of Caoayan municipality and we’re so grateful to be a part of this,” shared Adidas Philippines Brand Activation Manager, Jen Dacasin.

The JG4 Manila Tour has officially concluded, but the updates and exclusive content will continue to be uploaded on Adidas Philippines.
