A healthy blend of cycling and coffee is now brewing in Uptown Bonifacio!
Bikes and Coffee Manila opened their doors last February 12, to serve cyclists their coffee needs before, midway, or after their ride.
Situated in Uptown Parade at the heart of the bustling Fort Bonifacio business district, the new cafe offers a convenient hub for cyclists as it sits right perfectly where urban ride is very conducive. The place also gives off a serene vibe where guests can chill out, and has ample secured parking areas that can be a perfect launch pad for riders.
“Even after [you] go out for a long ride coming from the east or south of the metro, Uptown Bonifacio is very accessible to cyclists,” says Dale Rosales, CEO and Co-Founder of Colnago Manila, Inc., and owner of Bikes and Coffee.
The idea of the specialty café was inspired by the cycling culture in other countries, specifically in Italy, where biking and coffee really come together. Once a customer enters the newly-opened shop, they will immediately be treated to the ambiance of an upscale bicycle store that also serves quality refreshments.
Though it may look like it was made specifically for cyclists, Mr. Rosales said they are encouraging non-riders to enjoy their coffee and space. He enthused, “Who knows, we might convert a coffee lover to a cyclist.”
Customers should try their best-selling coffee latte and manual brew, which uses their specialty beans. For food, their enticing menu includes pastries, burgers, pasta, and other meals that are perfect sources of carbohydrates and protein.
The store is truly a one-stop for bikers as it is also a haven full of affordable bike accessories, spare parts, and apparel.
To keep guests safe, the Bikes and Coffee Manila encourages outdoor sitting for their diners with only two persons per table capacity. Surfaces in the store premises are also consistently sanitized to maintain cleanliness. In addition, they make sure their staff regularly undergo tests for COVID-19.
Bikes and Coffee Manila is located at Uptown Parade, 9th Street corner 36th street, Taguig. They are open on weekdays from 8:00am to 7:00pm; and on weekends from 7:00am to 7:00pm.
